Hollywood may have made us all crave the big romantic gestures, but you could be missing more subtle signs of your guy’s devotion. Count yourself lucky if your boyfriend does any of these things – he may not be holding a boombox over his head, but he’s still a keeper.
He occasionally makes breakfast (or at least makes the coffee run). Naturally, you both want to stay in bed “ but he hauls himself out into the cold light of Saturday morning so that you can relax just a little while longer. Note: this breakfast does not actually have to be in bed (which is messy and not as fun as it looks).
He always asks how your day was “ even if his was bad. This one little question can act as a very important reminder that your guy is interested in your life. It’s a blink-and-you’d-miss-it thing, but it can make all the difference.
Allows you to place cold hands and/or feet on him. You can’t help yourself “ the man is a freaking radiator! He may not completely be able to hide the pain, but at least he resists the urge to run.
He carries heavy stuff for you, be it a suitcase or a monster of a dining room table. If you’re a gym girl, he might not even be much stronger than you “ but the fact is, he thinks he’s helping you out. Aww.
He thinks you look sexy in your PJs “ and we don’t mean that little black lacy number that you trot out once a year “ we mean those saggy flannel drawstring pants. Yeah, those ones.
He makes you a mixtape. Ok, these days it’s just as likely to be a burnt CD or just a playlist, but the fact remains: he hears over-the-top crooners wailing about love and he thinks of you.
He gets you just because presents. And let us be clear “ these could be anything from a funny pair of socks to a hard-to-find brand of cereal you love. Sometimes it really is the thought that counts (especially when he didn’t have to get you anything).
If he’s ever drawn you a bath (extra points for having fresh towels ready). He definitely saw this one on TV, but it’s a sign that he’s trying really hard to make your life easier.
