It’s the weekend, which means you want to spend some quality time with your girls! Whether you want to dance the night away, chat over a great plate of food or meet some hotties, Vancouver has you covered. Here are five picks to consider when you’re planning your next night out on the town.
If you’re looking for a classier evening, try dinner and drinks at Society. If you aren’t immediately impressed by their pink chandeliers and girly dé©cor, you’ll fall in love once you try their junk food platter (with stuff donuts and mini nutella cré¨me brulee)! Be sure to ask for a cocktail topped with cotton candy.
Yeehaw! Grab your cowboy boots and head down to Gastown’s Bourbon for a night of country music and a guaranteed boot scootin’ good time. On Friday nights, girls get in for $5, so round up your ladies and hit the dance floor early to avoid the long lines. Fair warning: all the boys wear plaid.
Reflections at Rosewood Hotel Georgia
In the summer, there is no better place to have ladies night than at Reflections, the rooftop oasis at Rosewood Hotel Georgia. Reflections is classy through and through, so be sure to dress up (and don’t forget the heels!). Tip: if you want to celebrate a special occasion, you can call ahead to book a VIP private cabana.
If you and your ladies are lovers of the beach, you’ll want to stop by Local at Kits Beach. While it boasts a pub-like atmosphere, it is the place to be seen on warm summer nights. Make sure you try one of their cocktails in a boot (yes, a real glass boot) – our fave is Lucky Lemonade.
One Friday a month the east end’s Biltmore Cabaret hosts an Ice Cream Social, a night of ‘50s and ‘60s rock and roll. If you and your girls love to dance, this is the place to be. Expect a quirky crowd that is welcoming and fun. Plan to arrive early as this is a Vancouver favourite, and people will line up all night long.
