It’s time to get psyched about something cool: Jillian Hervey”the lead singer of Lion Babe”has been announced as Pantene’s newest ambassador, specifically to celebrate curly hair.
According to Pantene, they’ll team up with Hervey to “give women the curls they’ve always wanted by helping them fight frizz by strengthening their curls.” Which is actually the key to fighting humidity-induced frizz (says the press release).
“Once I really started to embrace my curls, my entire world changed, and it’s made me the woman I am today,” Hervey said. “Keeping my curls strong and healthy is so important, and thanks to Pantene I’ve finally uncovered a routine that allows my curls to be practically frizz-free.”
Which is awesome. Especially since the singer will appear in all elements of the brand’s holistic marketing campaign, which includes TV spots, print, and digital advertising, public relations and social media. (Read: she will be everywhere, and as she should be. Lion Babe rules.)
“Historically, Pantene has been synonymous with long, straight hair”but Pantene hair can be all types and textures,” said Jodi Allen, Vice President of Hair Care & Colour for North America at Procter & Gamble. “We’re excited to kick off our new campaign with a focus on beautiful curls with Jillian Hervey, who has the most gorgeous curls out there and is the perfect person to lead this new effort.”
“Jillian exudes confidence, strength, and beauty”everything that Pantene stands for”and we’re honoured to have her join the Pantene family.”
FYI, Jillian Hervey also created a limited edition gold eyeliner for MAC, so if you want to double up on your Hervey-sanctioned beauty products, you wouldn’t exactly be making a bad decision. The woman has style down pat.
