Well guys, this is it. We’re mere days–nay, hours–away from the release of Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life and it’s equal parts exciting and nerve-wracking. Because after we consume all six hours, what do we have left? Well, I guess eight seasons to rewatch and quote instead of seven? You’ve no doubt thought long and hard about how you’re going to mark this momentous occasion (coffee, duh), but in case you didn’t also take this Friday off of work (just me?) to watch, we’ve got some ideas to help you get your viewing party–whatever it looks like–set up.
Watch it with mom

You two probably watched it together when the show was originally airing on TV, and you both had dreams of being the perfect Rory-Lorelai mother-daughter duo, so why not complete the cycle and watch this together over the course of the weekend? Even if you had more of a Lane-Mrs.Kim relationship or even Lorelai-Emily, there’s no reason you can’t spend a few hours together–at least you won’t have to speak to one another.
