Carrie Underwood is about to hit another high note in her career, with the release of her upcoming activewear line, Calia, with Dick’s Sporting Goods. Carrie doesn’t see the need in spending a ton of money on product that won’t last long or aren’t super pretty.
In an interview with E! News, Carrie Underwood and Dick’s designer Alycia Scott, discuss the release of the line. “I noticed that if it works, it's not attractive, and if you're gonna wear it outside, it's just cute and that's all, so there needed to be something that could bridge that gap." Carrie wants women to get done everything they need to get done.
The line will consist of tops, bottoms and accessories that will help work with today’s busy woman. She’s looking to help women feel flirty, feminine and inspire women to be strong with signature floral print, rose gold accents and sexy straps, but of course material that is made to last through a major sweat session.
Carrie has been completely involved with the line, from picking out patterns to sharing what her likes and dislikes are about workout gear in general. Comfort with the option to choose from a variety of product is her biggest concentration, so she offers women more solid colors, incase prints just aren’t your thing. Shorts are made adjustable so women can choose just how much leg they want to show and tops are long enough so ladies can wear tight pants without constantly pulling down their shirt all the time.
She aligns herself with the brand’s motto, “Stay the Path.” She mentions, “We're all on our own fitness journey, and we're all going at our own pace, and we're all in different places," she told the crowd. "It's all about finding your goals and staying the path, and staying true to that and working toward your goals no matter where you are."
Calia will be available for purchase this coming March at Dick’s Sporting Goods.
