Britney Spears and her management team found a new way to score six-figure kickbacks for her new single “Hold it Against Me.” The pop princess reportedly raked in $500,000 to have products strategically placed in the video for her new song.
TMZ is reporting that the songbird agreed to place brands like Make Up For Ever cosmetics, Sony, dating site Plenty of Fish and her own fragrance, Radiance in the video. According to reports, Plenty of Fish says that they have had a 20% jump in traffic since the song made its debut.
Not sure which member of Brit-Brit’s management team was responsible for these deals, but it’s clear that someone should be getting a hefty bonus. Integrated marketing and advertising deals like this one are always lucrative and should keep Britney’s camp cushy for a while.
And by the way, did anyone else notice that Britney was absent from the Grammy’s? It’s seems like it would have been a good time to make yet another comeback on stage with her new single. But I guess if you’re making that kind of cash on the side, who needs gratuitous awards shows?
