Sex and the City Wardrobe or 10 Porsches?

Just when you thought you couldn’t possibly be more interested, it’s been reported that the Sex and the City 2 wardrobe is worth upwards of $10 million “ the equivalent of 10 2010 Porsche Carreras.  (Is it me or have the clothes begun to rival the storyline?)  And not only that, but the cast of fashionistas got to keep the clothes in addition to wearing them “ as stated by Kristin Davis’ interview with In Touch.  (Seriously – how you go about becoming an extra in the next movie?)

Going on to say that the cast is really careful . . . because they’re often one-of-a-kind samples from the runways, Ms. Davis also claimed none of them eat in the clothes “ which, frankly, is the right decision, since much of the movie’s wardrobe is indispensable, boasting pieces by the late Alexander McQueen and Pucci.  Fashion cré¨me de la cré¨me.

And while Patricia Field works to combine old and new finds to make for the ultimate style ensembles, you have to wonder what vintage stores she’s shopping in (because who’ve ever had that much luck thrifting?).  As stated by the stylist extroardinare, When you’re in a recession, you want to have a good time!  And living vicariously through the rich and fashionable will allow us to do just that.
