There was tons happening at Toronto Fashion week, from stellar street style to sleuthing new backstage beauty stash to snapping all of the action, it’s been a busy week to say the least. But as the week draws to a close, we’re looking back at the last five days and over 30 shows to bring you the best beauty trends we spotted at Toronto Fashion Week.
’90s revival
It’s no secret that we’re living a constant #TBT when it comes to fashion and beauty, but for the fall/winter 2016 season, we’re definitely seeing the ’90s lip (in all its glory and variations) make a comeback, but with less of the overdrawn lip line of the (original) ˜90s. Grace Lee, lead makeup artist for Maybelline New York Canada, explained, for Malore Urbanovitch, we did a very monochromatic look with a brown ˜90s lip, but in a more modern way”this was kind of my high school makeup. Adding to the list of ˜90s-inspired lips was UNTTLD, Ellie Mae and the jet-black tar-like lips we spotted at Mackage.
