The Hair Colour Trends to Rock in 2019

Hair colour trends seem to change from year to year. With ombre and balayage fading out, pastels and cool copper shades are swiftly taking over. Pastel has been a hot trend that we saw on the red carpet as Lady Gaga opted for pastel blue hues. Beyoncé continues to rock the blonde highlights in her goddess-like locks. And of course coral, which is Pantone’s colour of the year, is quite the popular number.

Soft Pastel
This Spring is the season of soft pastels and we will see the trend grow throughout the year. Blush pink and pastel blues will pop all over town. Khloe Kardashian’s faded pink pastel look is on-trend, and so is Kyle Jenner’s faded blue look.

Living Coral
Pantone’s Colour of the Year is coral and we are obsessed with this shade. Julia Roberts briefly sported the rose gold/coral tones in her blonde tresses. Well, we just love the look on this America’s Sweetheart.

Dirty Brunette
Blond brunettes are also hot and heavy this year. A slightly darker base with sandy beige strands gives a warm texture. Chrissy Teigen chose to go with dirty blond and brunette highlights. Beyoncé also showed off her blonde highlights around her face, with deep brunette roots. If Queen B rocks it, it’s a trend alright.

Copper
I love copper and continue to colour my hair with copper highlights in my dark chocolate brown strands. This photo is my most recent attempt at hopping on the copper trend train. I have been colouring my hair for almost a decade now, and highlights have often been my go-to for my head of curly locks. Of course, with any colouring, it damages the hair. P.S. I have been using the Moroccanoil Color Complete Shampoo and Conditioner to lock in the colour. It really works wonders in prolonging the colour and it’s vibrancy, and repairs the chemically treated hair. I have noticed a major difference in my hair’s texture.

Deep Chocolate
Then there’s the deep chocolatey shades that look very natural from afar, but have a tint of colour in them, making it shine. Shay Mitchell‘s luxe tresses are a shining example.
