You would think the 2015 Golden Globes would bring out the Golden Girls but Ladies in Red took over instead. A bold red lip is already daring in itself; however, these star-studded celebrities paired it with bold red dresses too, leaving us all star-struck. Helen Mirren
For fair complexions like Helen Mirren, cherry-red is best because the bluish undertone of the colour contrasts well with the pink undertones of the complexion. However, at the Globes Helen didn’t go that route. While her complexion is fair, her skin is also mature. A cranberry-red coloured lipsticks is more appropriate for this age group, which is exactly the shade of red she pouted on the red carpet.
Heidi Klum
For sun-kissed complexions like Heidi Klum, reds verging on oranges are a match. While for medium complexions like Luciana Duvall and Kristin Dos Santos, apple-red complements well. Opt for brighter shades if your skin is sun-kissed or a medium/olive tone. to you!
Viola Davis
For dark complexions like Viola Davis, a brick-red lip is the best to sport. You aren't limited to it, but the brown in this shade of red contrasts well with the cool undertones of most darker complexions.
