Product Of The Week: Oribe Revitalizing Hand Wash in “Desertland”

Product Of The Week: Oribe Revitalizing Hand Wash in "Desertland"

It all started in 2010 with the launch of Oribe’s now cult favourite Dry Texturizing Spray. The stylizer is a va-va-voom maker that acts like a hairspray, dry shampoo and volumizer all rolled into one and it only took about three puffs in our hair to get us hooked. So naturally we’ve gravitated to all things Oribe ever since. Including the professional salon brand’s new Revitalizing Hand Wash in “Desertland” and “Valley of Flowers” scents.

Like the creamy suds bubbling out of the late and legendary hairstylist’s signature “Côte d’Azur” scented version, these two new incarnations are as equally beneficial as they are pretty to place sink side. Infused with a blend of sweet almond, meadowfoam and starflower oils their formulas replenish, rejuvenate and soften our skin, as well as protect it from dryness and damage. Glycerin and panthenol help to further prevent dryness and moisture loss when washing up. Vitamin E rich grapeseed oil improves skin tone and restores our epidermis’ natural moisture barrier to promote elasticity, while antioxidant rich jasmine oil works hard to fight against free radicals and the elements.

And then there’s the fragrance. Lately, we’ve been leaning towards “Desertland’s” Marfa, Texas-inspired parfum and its olive-green container (crafted from recycled post-consumer plastic and a mono-material pump, thank you very much!). It’s blend of bright, crisp juniper berries and desert wildflowers mixed with warm and grounded cedarwood give us feel-good vibes for hours, especially when we rub in a little of Oribe’s Nourishing Hand Crème in the same “Desertland” scent afterwards. It’s safe to say “Valley of Flowers” fresh bouquet of Bulgarian rose and peony petals with warm amber notes will soon waft off our hands. After all, when it comes to all things Oribe no products are off limits. We’re hooked for good reason.

Oribe Revitalizing Hand Wash in “Desertland,” “Valley of Flowers” and “Côte d’Azur,” $55 for 300 ml each and Nourishing Hand Crème in “Desertland,” “Valley of Flowers” and “Côte d’Azur,” $65 for 100 ml each, all available online at oribe.com and at professional hair salons.
