When I buy art, and it doesn’t happen super often, because you know, money, but when I do, it tends to be illustrated works. Obviously, when I saw L’Occitane’s Limited Edition Shea Butter Collection complete with collaborative packaging from French illustrators Elvire Laurent and Marie – Celeste Lichtlé, the founders of OMY, my heart soared.
The colourful illustrations that capture Provence in the city make each cityscape come to life and worth pulling out my set of pencil crayons to colour within the black and white defined lines.
Plus, the ingredients in the collection’s Shea X OMY Hand Cream, One-minute Hand Scrub, Nourishing Nail and Cuticle Oil, and Ultra Light Body Cream give me the extra hydration I need. Especially now, as I battle the seesaw of the cold outdoors with the forced indoors’ heat. If not for these skin soothers, my body would feel tight, stretched and uncomfortable.
Replete in moisturizing and oh-so pretty smelling ingredients such as rose, violet, lavender, immortelle, cherry blossom and of course, Shea, make each product as decadent as they are practical. So I’m saying au revoir to tight, dry scaling limbs and hello to soothed, soft and hydrated fingers, thumbs and every other body part.
