Goop Beauty’s face product GoopGlow literally is what the name says it is: a Microderm Instant Glow Exfoliator. We’re not sure why we thought it would be just a meh face scrub you know, like it would give our t-zone a thorough once over but still underwhelm in the glowing part and all. But it’s not. It doesn’t. It delivers. And we’re not mad about it.
Getting your glow on and by that we mean the real deal not the kind of glow from walking outside in the brisk fall air and definitely not the result of an outdoor spin class that leaves us kind of red and sweaty. This glow is lasting.
The formula’s blend of micro-exfoliating minerals, such as quart, garnet, aluminum and silica with glycolic acid and Australian kakadu plum see to that. Individually, the exfoliating ingredients buff away dead skin cells, which then helps to minimize the appearance of sun damage while creating a smoother, softer and more even-toned look and feel to your face. The acid provides a chemical exfoliation that supports the minerals in revealing fresher and brighter skin, while the plum, thanks to it’s infusion of vitamin C, improves our skin’s luminosity and hydration. So the overall impact and effect is what the label says it will be. Beautifully glowing skin. Like the kind we used to have before pollution, the environment, stress, life and aging took its mean-girl toll on our face.
