It’s safe to say, ’60s supermodel Twiggy and actress Mia Farrow helped put this his super chic cut on the style map. Short for the long bob, the lob is a modern take on the 1920’s original, when women took their hair’s length into their own hands by freeing themselves from decades of mandatory updos. The Bob
Once synonymous with the preppy ’80s and perennially aligned with Vogue’s Anna Wintour, the bob is a hairstyle staple. Typically, the cut falls just below jaw length and features straight hair.
