JLo, Kim K and Beyonce are not born with perfect bone structure. In fact, very few people are, but these ladies do have one thing in common: a great makeup artist.
With that tool in their arsenal, these ladies have sculpted cheeks and jawlines that are indeed enviable. What if I were to tell you that you could achieve this too, by taking grade school skills of drawing letters and numbers. No, I am not crazy. I am, however, going to walk you through the easiest contouring tutorial of your life.
What you need before we draw:
– 3 brushes: one flat head brush, one small blush brush and one angled brush
– Cream foundation and powder bronzer (2 shades deeper than your skin tone, max)
– Cream and powder highlighter (white, sheer shade for lighter skin tones & champagne, gold shades for medium to richer skin tones)
The contour: brought to you by the number 3
1. Grab your flat head brush and add a small, small, small amount of your deeper shade cream foundation on it.
2. Start the brush at the top of your head, around your hairline and drag it down in a semi-circle shape, just below your cheek bone, in the hollow.
Need help finding your cheek bones? Make a fish face and suck it in. The hollow is where you should be placing your colour.
3. Now, double back and draw another semi-circle from the hollow of your cheek bone and down onto your jawline, finishing the "3" shape.

It goes without saying that good things often come in pairs and contouring the face is no exception. With every good contour job there is a highlight or two to be thanked.
The highlight: brought to you by the letter C
1. Grab your (clean) flat head brush and apply a small amount of cream highlighter to it.
2. Start the brush at the top of your head, just below where you've placed the contour colour, and draw a "C" shape down onto the top of your cheek bones.
The top of your cheekbones is just underneath your eye socket.
3. From here, take your small blush brush and blend the colour on your face. This is to make sure there are no harsh lines or dead giveaways to your contouring/highlighting.

Last thing is to set it all with a powder formula so that the contour and highlight stays in place all day
1. Use an angled blush brush and dip into a matte bronzer shade and trace around the "3" shape of contour to set.
2. Clean the angled brush of bronzer and then, by dipping into your powder highlighter, apply to the "C" shape on top of your highlight to set.
