Ready for a little 90s nostalgia? In Vogue: The 90s is set to start streaming this fall featuring the some of the most influential names across fashion, film, and politics. The fashionable six-part retrospective, which tells the inside story of the decade that made celebrities out of supermodels and style icons out of music moguls, will premiere on Friday, September 13, 2024 with the first three episodes, followed by the second batch of three episodes on September 20, 2024.
In Vogue: The 90s tells the definitive story of the fashion industry in the 1990s through the eyes of Vogue editors Hamish Bowles, Edward Enninful, Tonne Goodman, and, of course Anna Wintour. The series also includes interviews with an A-list cast including: Kate Moss, Naomi Campbell, Claudia Schiffer, Linda Evangelista, Marc Jacobs, Sarah Jessica Parker, Victoria Beckham, Kim Kardashian, Nicole Kidman, Miuccia Prada, Gwyneth Paltrow, Missy Elliott, Mary J. Blige, Elizabeth Hurley, Hillary Clinton, Jenny Shimizu, Tom Ford, and Tyson Beckford, naturally—as revealed in the splashy just-released first trailer.
In Vogue: The 90s highlights some of the most jaw-dropping moments from this tumultuous and transformative decade in fashion, as it played out in the pages of the publication. In fact, each episode in this six-part series centres around a defining 90s moment that changed fashion forever.
Among the endlessly fascinating topics examined were the birth of the supermodel, the prevalence of grunge, the irresistible glamour of Tom Ford’s Gucci, the explosive collision of hip-hop and fashion, the rapidly changing nature of red-carpet style, and the legacies of London-based renegades like John Galliano and Alexander McQueen.
