Our TV mom may be cynical in her humour, but she sets a phenomenal example when it comes to keeping it high vibe in winter. Since the first season, Lorelai has consistently gotten really excited -- never curmudgeonly -- about the cold season. So, Stars Hollow is pure magic year round no matter what, but I still think Lorelai can still serve as a fine example for us in the Great White North when it comes to staying positive. Here's what she's taught me.
Making an effort to decorate your house for Christmas is generally worthwhile
So Christmas is over so this is kind of an aside, but I want to note how truly joyful Lorelai’s Christmas decorations were in A Year in the Life Winter episode. Anyone who walked into that house in the month of December would definitely feel festive even if they were a grinch. Christmas is obviously the best part of winter and even making the effort to put up even some semblance of a tree makes the season special.
