Japanese Invisibility Cloak
A professor at the University of Tokyo, Dr. Susumu Tachi, has come up with the invisibility cloak we only thought possible in Harry Potter. While not actually invisible, the cloak is made using Retro-reflective Projection Technology that makes the wearer seem to disappear! The image that appears on the cloak is created by a viewfinder that puts together the images that are behind the person wearing it. This creation will have wider advantages such as covering blind spots in planes and cars. So no, don't even think of using it to skim past security into Justin Bieber concerts.
So now that you know some of the truly amazing and innovative gadgets out there are you like me, staring down at your smart phone in utter disappointment? “Why can't you bend or curve, you don't stir my coffee, heck, if you were invisible I wouldn't always get caught texting in class?!” Hey, don't beat your smartphone up, it does its best.
