See: Trinity College Library and The Book of Kells

Bookworms and regular tourists alike will have a moment of speechlessness upon walking into the expansive and impressive Long Hall at the Trinity College Library. Over 200,000 books are housed in this library (that truly — almost — rivals the one we’ve dreamed about since our first viewing of Beauty and the Beast), including the Book of Kells, an illuminated manuscript dating back to ninth century.
