Look, you know it’s true. If you ever want to double-check the trend status of anything and everything, @kimkardashian is one of the best go-to ’grams to peruse. She’s got it down, she’s in the know and often, maybe always, she supports being nude, which is what we’re going for, with our lips that is. Specifically, with Yves Saint Laurent’s Tatouage Couture Velvet Cream Velvet Matte Lip Stain in “210 Nude Sedition.”
Creamy and ridiculously easy to apply with its cushiony sponge applicator, this new lippie has subtle impact with its barely-there dusted berry hue. The matte texture provides full coverage without drying out our lips, while the formula’s staining capabilities help the colour last well beyond cocktails on newly opened patios, dinner and dessert.
As for a makeup, makeout sesh, well we can’t truly say since we’ve tested this theory since covid has seemingly turned all intimate moments into elbow bumps. But, and using Mrs K-West as inspiration once again, we’re decidedly not wasting good glam to find out either. Our Nude Sedition hue is too pretty. It gives our lips a deeply pigmented yet natural looking vibe that’s both plump and lush, making us want to keep our new favourite hue and to the max for as long as we possibly can. Or at least until we decide to swap it out for one of the French brand’s 13 other, velvety-soft and equally stunning lip stain shades.
