Tip #2: If a bold shade scares you, make it more wearable with a base coat of lip gloss
Many women love the idea of a bold lip, but may not feel ready to commit to the full opacity of a particular shade. One of Francois Nars’ signature techniques that I use is to apply a neutral lip gloss before applying the lipstick, says Okopny. This will soften your colour and is also a very modern way to wear lip gloss.
