Instead, we're determined to make a comfortable and favourite sweater our go-to for pretty much every event this holiday season. We asked H&M showroom manager and style expert Karen Richter, and Loft style director Amanada Kraemer for tips on how to make it happen.

You might be tempted to go super casual when hanging out with your friends”but we recommend putting a bit more effort in. It is the holidays after all. Richter recommends avoiding a hoodie, an oversized style or a logo sweatshirt for nicer events. Instead, opt for something more streamlined, with a simple crew neck, and go a bit more edgy with a leather skirt or leather leggings.
