Can you tell we’re excited for fall? If you’re not, well, consider the following things that make fall pretty great: sweaters (and nubby knits), tailored trousers (or slacks, as Anne T. Donahue likes to call them), knee-high boots, Scorpio season, and the ultimate treasure, the PUMPKIN SPICE LATTE. Also, Aritzia’s fall collection lands in stores and, as always, it’s packed with sweaters and trousers galore. This season especially, Aritzia seems to have upped the ante, taking cues from the runways while turning out pieces that will look current for seasons to come. We’ve got our eyes on a few choice pieces, so cozy up and get ready to #addtocart.
The Cropped Sweater. Aritzia can’t be beat for knitwear, and we always have a hard time narrowing down our choices to just a few each season, but this cropped sweater is seriously speaking our language. Voluminous sleeves lend a fashion-forward edge, while the cable-knit detail feels timeless.
The Pyjama Pant. These satin-finish pyjama trousers not only look super chic and comfortable, but they also have a bit of that sporty track pant vibe (which is trending now), while still looking super-luxe.
The Printed Dress. The kimono is everywhere this season, as are dark floral prints, and this midi dress combines both. Made of silk charmeuse, it drapes beautifully and has a feminine (and slightly Victorian) feel.
The Oversized Shirt. We can’t get enough of classic menswear shirts, and this oversize poplin shirt has a silhouette that’s definitely borrowed from the boys. The unexpected length gives it the feel of a tunic, so it’s super easy to wear, and it looks chic whether on its own, layered under a sweater, or topped with a blazer.
The Cropped Trouser. There’s just something about a wide-legged pant and leather boot pairing that feels totally fall, totally ’70s-inspired, and totally fresh all at once. We love the kicky crop silhouette, textured grey tweed and wool-cashmere fabric of these pants. And that tailoring is just so good.
