Busy Philipps is hilariously showing the world the hardships of choosing the right first day outfit in a short film for Loft. The fashion brand has teamed up with the former Cougar Town actress for two comedy shorts, both of which were direction by Philipps herself.
When they first approached me, I have to admit, my thought was ˜That’s weird, because I don’t work in an office,’ Philipps told WWD. But my daughter and I went into the Loft store in Charleston [S.C.] where I am currently shooting, and I found myself really surprised by how cute and wearable the clothes were and how many pieces I found that fit into my daily life as a working mom.
The first short debuted today and his titled First Day of School. It costars Philipps daughter Birdie, who helps her mother choose the right first-day-of-work outfit. While Philipps wants to go with a very autumn-looking outfit, Birdie has other ideas.
I thought it’d be funny¦ to have Birdie seeing me off to my first day of work, and dealing with my anxiety and nervousness over picking out the perfect ˜first day’ outfit ” which, by the way, is something that happens every time I start a new show.
