10 Highlights from the 2016 iHeartRadio Much Music Video Awards

Let's recap last night: Lebron and the Cavs came back from a 3-1 series deficit to win the NBA Finals, the first for a Cleveland pro sports team in 52 years. MasterChef Canada crowned its first female winner, Mary Berg. Game of Thrones aired its penultimate episode with the hounds eating a meal we wished they'd devoured years ago. We sent extra love to all the fathers out there. Oh, and the 2016 iHeartRadio Much Music Video Awards had Toronto's downtown core on lockdown.

Thousands of screaming fans lined up to get a glimpse of their wanderlust star crushes. From Shawn Mendes to Nick Jonas to the model host of the eve, Gigi Hadid, the event played witness to a bevy of young celebrities, whom were muddled beside YouTube creators and personalities. While some of us wondered these people's relevance and how many times the word slayed could be overused in a sentence, there were some takeaways worth noting.

The night started off with style-spotting, where we dubbed the winner for best looking trio to the starlets from Pretty Little Liars (minus Trojan Bellisario) with each absolutely owning their outfits. Ashley Benson stunned in her silky Stuart Weitzman dress, Shay Mitchell worked a gothic-chic black gown, gold-encrusted belt and a sky-high slit, and Lucy Hale glowed in a slick silver mini dress. While presenting on-stage alongside Hadid, Hale called out Canada’s attractive Prime Minister. Meanwhile, Canadian actress Shay Mitchell was gleeful about being back in her hometown and Canada in general, furthering the love by commenting, This is a place where you can be who you want to be and love who you want to love.
