Lise Watier’s Soothing Rose Petal Gel Toner smells, feels and works as good as its name sounds. Which is why it’s the latest addition to our before-bedtime beauty regime.
Developed in collaboration with a laboratory in Korea, the gurus of optimum skincare, this new style of cleansing infuses the liquid feel and efficacy of traditional toners with the inclusion of modern technology courtesy of the added texture that has been swirled into the formula. Which, by the way, is none other than what the name promises. Rose petals.
The addition of the popular flower works to remove and eliminate excess oil on our face while simultaneously restoring our skin’s natural pH balance to leave it looking and feeling silky smooth. Infused alongside other do-good ingredients such as, water and glycerin to cleanse away dirt, grime and makeup, pentylene glycol (found in plants like sugar beets and corn cobs) to lock water into our epidermis to plump it up for youthful appeal and methylpropanediol (a synthetic ingredient that functions like a solvent) to enhance our skin’s capability to absorb the rose’s hydrating properties and give our face a dewy finish.
All we have to do is wash our face with our favourite cleanser, squeeze a few drops of the gel toner onto a cotton pad and swipe it across our face. Rinse, massage in a serum and night cream and shut our eyes for a round of eight.
