Moroccanoil’s Luxurious New Night Body Serum Nourishes Skin

Move over, body creams and body souffles… There’s a new obsession in town! It’s about time to splurge and spoil your skin with actual results.

As winter approaches, our skin is need of a solid fix to lock in hydration. No surprise here, right? Our face often gets a religious skincare ritual but what about our bodies? The newest launch from Morrocanoil Body is a gift from the skin gods. The just-released Night Body Serum is, quite possibly, the answer to your dead skin’s prayers.

Tried and tested, the new night serum is made specially to work during the skin’s nighttime recovery process, strengthening, nourishing and protecting the skin against environmental factors.

It’s super lightweight and leaves behind no sticky residue. In fact, the skin absorbs the product instantly and leaves behind a soft residue, making the skin feel velvety, silky and supple. The most promising result? The immediate hydration. Isn’t that crucial after mother nature strips the body off essential oils and leaves it dry and flaky?

Sara Sampaio, Moroccanoil ’s Beauty Ambassador, is also pretty impressed with the product’s hydration. When asked what’s the one difference she’d noticed since using the product, she said: “My skin gets very flaky, and I notice that’s gone, which is great. I’ve been putting a lot on my knees, because that’s where my driest skin is. My knees are coming back to life. They’re feeling at least five years younger! I feel like the skin is a lot firmer, as well.”

A thin layer of the product is to be applied before bedtime. It’s best to massage in an upward sweeping motion to help stimulate blood flow. Focus on areas of the body that could benefit from a more youthful appearance, including the décolleté.

The key ingredients in the product are antioxidant-rich argan and Tsubaki oils while deliver essential actives to help firm and nourish the skin. It also includes holy basil extract which helps protect the skin from environmental stress. Vitamin C helps retain the youthful look and keeps a healthy glow going for you.

Moroccanoil co-founder Carmen Tal recommends using the Night Body Serum on its own. She said: “Actually, I like this product on its own. I like to put it on last thing at night. Whatever routine you have, a bath or a shower, whatever it is, finish that. Dry yourself, and then when you’re in a quiet mood, like mode, then you apply it liberally, like any other oil or serum.”

“And then, just leave it alone. I like it that way, because it leaves the skin so beautifully soft and nourished, and the smell is just wonderful, like you don’t want to be touched by anything else. Most of our body products, and even the hair products, we like cocktailing. I add a couple of drops of Argan Oil to everything. But this one in particular, I like it beautifully alone.”

Moroccanoil is a luxury skincare brand which indulges in the best. “Moroccanoil products not only make me look amazing, they make me feel amazing knowing I’m using only the highest quality oil-infused formulas for my hair and skin,” Sampaio says. If this Victoria’s Secret model swears by it, who are we mere mortals to argue?

The Moroccanoil  Night Body Serum retails for $68/100ml and is available online, at Sephora and in salons and spas.
