If like me, you love a scent wardrobe, the new fragrance collection by Charlotte Tilbury is destinated to become the main character of your perfume lineup.
Today, the makeup maestro drops the latest addition to her ever-expanding beauty empire with the Fragrance Collection of Emotions, a powerful lineup of six scents which have been designed to evoke and represent a range of emotions including joy, love and calm. In short, Tilbury is giving us all the feels.
“Since I was 13, I have been fascinated by the magical ability of fragrance to unlock memories and emotions,” shared Tilbury in this interview in the days leading up to the launch of her collection. “A fragrance can transport you to another world full of memories, fantasies and dreams, it can transform the way you feel, and it can create a magical aura around you.”
To help bottle the magic of these new scents, Tilbury worked with perfumers Anne Flipo, Juliette Karagueuzoglo and Dominique Ropion from the IFF, an organization renowned as global leaders in scent, home, personal care and sensorial experiences. Each of the six fragrances in the collection hold the promise of being powered by emotion-boosting molecules which means you can manifest and amplify your chosen mood of the day, or night, with just a few spritzes of scent—you can literally spray on a feeling. The six senses Tilbury has chosen as the stars of her perfume collection: Love, Happiness, Sex, Calm, Energy and Empowerment.
True to everything Tilbury does, these fragrances don’t just smell incredible, they look spectacular too. Decanted into colorful, vintage-style bottles inspired by 18th century alchemy potions, they are highly collectible and look incredible displayed together. The visual impact of the scents will be on full display at the London launch of the collection with a nine-day pop up activation running May 10th through 19th. I have personally been playing with the Fragrance Collection of Emotions for a few weeks and can report each one is unique and gorgeous, and that I have a few favourites. Below, discover the divine little details of each individual fragrance.
Love Frequency
Designed to enhance the feelings of, you guessed it, love. This fragrance is all about roses and romance and features an alluring blend of floral and woody notes and a hint of spicy pink pepper.
Joyphoria
This one makes you feel like you’re basking in a warm summer glow of happiness. It’s a warm floral scent featuring jasmine sambac, ylang ylang, and everyone’s current favourite note, vanilla bean.
More Sex
If you love a heady, deeply sexy scent, this juice will be your new number one (it’s mine). The rich combo of full-bodied notes is killer: leather, musk, and black pepper. This one is addictive and wildly alluring.
Calm Bliss
A watery floral fragrance, this fragrance is about invoking a feeling of serious chill. It’s a soft scent, heavy on bergamot, neroli, lavender oils, tonka bean and orange flower absolute. I love leaning into this one for weekends when I need to press pause.
Magic Energy
This one is giving mental clarity. Bergamot, cypress and palo santo accord combine to create a potent juice that feels fresh and conjures an energized, electric mood.
Cosmic Power
Consider this fragrance as confidence in a bottle. It’s big, bold, and beautiful brimming with amber accord and spicy cinnamon oil. This is another of my personal faves; it has a mystical air about it, and every time I’ve worn it people have noticed it.
