Eva Longoria Aces the Year-Round Glow

Just because it’s autumn doesn’t mean you need to abandon your glowing skin, but instead of seeking refuge in a tanning bed (that will only cause damage and premature aging in the long run), you can take to your makeup bag, using only a few products to get a glow like Eva Longoria’s any time of the year.

Bronzer
We may be months of out of beach season, but that doesn’t mean you need to overhaul your beauty regimen to suit the vampiric looks of winter time. Though Eva’s bronzer may seem only summer-appropriate, combined with the highlights and dark eye makeup (not to mention her olive skin tone), she uses it in a way that makes it suitable for fall and winter. Though you want to avoid bronzer overkill, by making a 3 motion down the sides of your face, you hit the points where sun would naturally land if you were outside beneath it.

Highlights
The key to Eva’s look is all about balance, and with her dramatic eyes and bronzed skin, you need something to lighten certain areas to prevent looking monotone or too overdone. By using a shimmery highlight on your cheekbones, underneath your eyes and at the brow, you still maintain sophistication and drama, but without looking like a victim of 1980s matte. And while a light lip gloss might not seem like enough for such a stunning aesthetic, its sheen will bring attention to your lips without overshadowing any other features.

Eyes
Caramel and chocolate eye shadows give this look a smoky, luxe appeal. The tones are rich, so it keeps it from looking too beach-oriented and the black liner helps to anchor the look. Jumbo eyelashes give this look major impact, so add some single, individual lashes on the top lashline and load on the mascara.

I’d love to know what highlighter she’s using here it’s fantastic. None of mine are that intense.
