DIY Nail Art: Summer Florals

The look’s inspiration…

This summer’s hottest trends: florals! “I really liked a floral shape I saw at a Louis Vuitton show, where dresses with flower cut-outs were surrounded by circles that created a little swirl around them,” she says.

Getting the right look…

It doesn’t have to be perfect! “Keeping the flowers in the middle of the nail but not being so precise that they still appear organic and natural—it’s an impressive look that even a beginner can do,” Dzenis explains.

A helpful tip…

Use colours you love. “You have to love colour,” she says. “I have a huge collection of nail polish on my mantel, organized by colour and shade. I even buy nail polishes that I don’t use—I just have them because I love looking at them. I like to think of them as ‘just in case’ polishes: The intention is there to use them, if only once.”
