The first Monday in May is reserved for fashion’s biggest night: the Met Gala, an annual fundraising event and kickoff party for the Costume Institute at the Metropolitian Museum of Art.
The gala’s dress code is in line with the exhibit’s theme and the Met Gala 2019 theme is Camp: Notes on Fashion. But it’s not just the fashion that goes above and beyond. The makeup and hair transformations are often extravagant and this year, was no different. Colorful and campy chaos cluttered the red carpet, bringing forward bold and brilliant looks. Lady Gaga
Lady Gaga’s jaw-dropping, eye-popping lashes were larger than life — in true Gaga style. Her gold false lashes were paired with graphic cat-eye and a shimmery waterline.
Jennifer Lopez
JLo opted for an extravagant beaded headpiece that matched her gown. Her makeup comprised of heavy purple shadow and va-va-voom lashes. And of course, the JLo pout with a side of her signature contoured jaws.
Hailey Baldwin
