5 Best Beauty Looks from World MasterCard Fashion Week S/S 2016

Toronto’s World MasterCard Fashion Week has wrapped and we’re looking back at some of our favourite moments from the spring/summer 2016 shows. Always a stand out are the beauty looks created by Maybelline New York Canada’s team of talented makeup artists, led by the incredible Grace Lee. Here are a few of the best looks of the season:

Pink Tartan S/S 2016

Inspired by the 1970s, the Pink Tartan look showcased shades of orange, brown and apricot to help translate the retro theme. The burnt-orange smokey eye and a coral lip were the perfect compliment to the vibrant collection.

Mackage S/S 2016

We couldn’t stop talking about the lip at Mackage! The beauty look reflected industrial feel of the collection with an edgy two-toned ombre red lip that that blends from the top lip downward.

Rudsak S/S 2016

Grace Lee translated Rudsak’s underwater aquarium theme into a stunning beauty look by making the skin and the lips a neutral matte shade, and blending a taupe colour on the eyes to make it seem as though the models had been rained on.

Matthew Gallagher S/S 2016

Matthew’s show was inspired by the 3D glass sculptures of New York based artist, Dustin Yellins, so Grace Lee translates this theme into the beauty looks by incorporating a pink glitter eye, glossy lips and strong contouring.
