3. Bubble Ponytail
The unrelenting heat of summer means hair elastics are practically sewn to our wrists. But after a while, the standard pony just loses its oomph. To combat this hair rut, designers like Marc Jacobs and Missoni revamped the conventional pony by adding a little bit of flair, and a lot of volume. Marc Jacobs reworked this summer hairstyle by teasing the crown, and pulling the locks half-way out of the elastic at the nape of the neck. This creates a pronounced bump (or bubble). When it comes to a pony, there’s no such thing as too much volume. Va-voom.
