Humidity…frizzy hair’s greatest foe. But before you smother your hair in frizz products, know that most of the time it is caused by an imbalance in your hair’s moisture. So look for specific hair products that are designed for your hair type. But of course, sometimes even the fanciest products can't cure the occasional frizz, so what type of hairstyles can we draw on that are easy but look chic?
Try these hairstyles to avoid bad hair days:
Loose braid: Since J.Law's epic braid as Katniss in The Hunger Games, I've loved the loose look. Tie your hair to the side very loosely and finish with light hold hairspray and a little bit of leave-in conditioner.
Keep it curly: Play-up the Carrie Bradshaw big hair, don't care look. To get the look, apply a light leave-in conditioner and use a diffuser to scrunch your hair and lightly dry it. For extra polish, you can use a large barrel curling iron, but be sure to leave your ends a bit loose. Finish with a very light hair oil at the ends of your hair.
Bed head bob: Also known as my favourite hairstyle. It's a get-out of bed and sexy look that is flattering and low maintenance. All you'll need to do is apply volumizing mousse and let your hair dry. If you have wavy or curly hair, you can use a curling iron to create a more polished look.
Messy Bun: The most tried and true style for frizzy hair. Put your hair up in a pony tail, twist your hair and secure it with bobby pins and a little bit of hairspray. If you have bangs or loose strands around your face, leave them. The messy and effortless look is what you want.
