Summer is finally here and my family and I have lots of fun activities planned! I can’t wait for trips to the cottage, patio dates and amusement park fun with the kids. Summer is one of my favourite times of year. I love everything, from the food, the drinks, the weather and the outfits that go with it! Whenever I think of summer, Kensington Market is always top of mind because it’s where my husband and I went on our first date and because of that, it’s also what we named our daughter! With the spirit of summer in mind, my girlfriend Shantel and I headed to Kensington Market to take in some of our fave summer activities: ice cream, fruit stand shopping, scooter riding, live music and window-shopping!

Summer is creepin’ up and my arms are wide open. I’m getting ready for fun in the sun, in and out of the city, and that definitely requires a summer-ready wardrobe update. H&M had me covered for just about every activity in my book of summer plans. Mid-length floral dresses with a touch of woven accessories are my go-to for country-side strolls in Prince Edward County, while a good pair of overalls is a must for days from the beach to a patio. Toronto has the best patios and I’ll definitely be on them this summer. Wear your bikini and layer on a striped tee afterwards. I also threw in some strawberry-lemonade vibes with pink stripes and the most gorgeous pleated yellow skirt. I love visiting Andrew’s Scenic Acres (a flower field just outside of the city), and this look is perfect for prancing through their floral fields. And, of course, I had to check off my athleisure game with the most on-point varsity look — a pleated white mini and pop of red. I imagine this look for a cute date night in the city or paired with some sneakers for the chicest cottage trip. Between these four looks and a bit of mixing and matching, I’m ready for the heat wave and all of the summer stories to be made along with it!

This year I went to H&M to pick up some summer essentials for my wardrobe. My summer usually includes a variety of activities, so I wanted to pick out pieces that would work for various occasions.
