We all know the importance of the Oscars (though maybe now that Leo has won, we can all chill a bit), but I argue that the Emmys are even more important. While many actors are making their way onto the TV front, we're living in an age where TV shows and streaming services are delivering some amazing content, and the Emmy nominations list shows that. While Netflix shows are getting renewed before we've even made it halfway through the season, there's always something new and noteworthy”and always something that deserves that golden statue, even after seven seasons. We're going to go ahead and assume you've already tackled Game of Thrones, Downton Abbey, How To Get Away With Murder and House of Cards (if you haven't, shame on you), so these are the rest of the shows to watch before the 68th Emmy Awards air this Sunday evening.
Grace and Frankie
Only Lily Tomlin and Jane Fonda can make peyote look like that much fun, but somehow the unlikeliest of cool lady duos star in a show that is too funny to deal. When both their husbands reveal they’re gay and in love with one another, Grace and Frankie become the weirdest of besties, rivalling any squad you’ll ever be in.
