Everybody get psyched or else: my daughter (please do not try to prove this in any way, and do not challenge me, how dare you) Millie Bobby Brown has joined forces with Calvin Klein because sometimes wonderful things happen and we deserve them.
The 12-year-old actress took to Instagram to announce the campaign, as well as offering us a glimpse of the pieces she’ll be wearing.
“I am so honoured to be a part of this – ‘A cast of distinct individuals brings the idea to life: Strength of character is key. Whether famous or unknown, we are all treated equally” – Calvin Klein by Appointment,” she wrote.
So what’s Calvin Klein by Appointment? As if I wasn’t going to tell you. The new collection is the fruit of new chief creative officer Raf Simons, and this image of Brown was one of the first glimpses of the line in general. The brand teased the announcement over the weekend on their own Instagram, captioning “Calvin Klein is not only about iconic underwear and jeans — it’s about so much more.” Plus, “From 205 W 39, the arrival of a new line.” Now, if you go to their Instagram, you can see the collection in a big way.
The entire collection will be available for us to look at and talk about on February 10 when Simons debuts his Fall 2017 ready-to-wear line during New York Fashion Week. In the meantime, in addition to Brown, models for the campaign include Julia Nobis, Jamie Bochert, Samantha Eldridge, Lineisy Montero, Natalie Westling, and Abby Lee Kershaw. Also, images have been shot by Willy Vanderpierre and styled by Olivier Rizzo, who’ve collaborated with Raf Simons before.
So there is that. Millie Bobby Brown is cooler than us and more importantly, when I was her age, all I did was listen to the Titanic soundtrack in my room and pretend I was Kate Winslet floating on a wardrobe door.
