By Bianca Guzzo

This week’s episode of Canada’s Drag Race saw the remaining queens choosing their own destiny where they could either compete on the iconic Snatch Game, or deliver a showstopping garment in a design challenge. Guests this week included Canada’s Drag Race season two winner Icesis Couture, and her season two sister Pythia, who acted as contestants on Snatch Game, and gave some advice to the design challenge queens. Icesis returned later in the episode to sit on the judge’s panel.

Mya Foxx brought the laughs with her Long Island Medium impression in the Snatch Game, making her the first queen from the east coast to win a main challenge on the show. While Van Goth took home top toot in the design challenge. They were both awarded a golden beaver to save a bottom queen from their challenge.

Mya saved Velma Jones from lip synching after her lackluster impression of Justin Trudeau in the Snatch Game, and Van handed her beaver to PM as they were the only queen who didn’t get to choose their challenge. In the end it was Karamilk versus Star Doll in the bottom two, and after a lip sync to a Carly Rae Jepsen song, Star doll was sent home after a tearful goodbye on the main stage.

ABOVE: Star Doll, from Toronto, Ontario, was eliminated on Canada’s Drag Race, season 6, episode 3.

Each week 29Secrets will be interviewing the eliminated queen. In an interview with Star, she shared that she believes it wasn’t her time to go just yet, and how being the daughter of a queen from a previous season helped her.

You look fabulous! Let’s jump right in ’cause I know we’re limited on time today. You got to participate in an acting challenge and a design challenge. What was the challenge you were looking forward to where you knew you were gonna eat the girls up?
I knew I was going to eat the girls up in an acting challenge, and I don’t know if I- I think I said it on the show, but I don’t know if it made it, but I actually have an acting degree, so I knew I would eat up any character or any role that came my way.

Period. What inspires you the most when it comes to coming up with different looks or performance concepts?
Honestly, what inspires me so much with all of my looks and all of my drag is my Filipino culture. I think my culture is so rich and so beautiful, and as the only Asian queen on season six, you know, I have the honor and the privilege to showcase that and showcase my beautiful culture through my looks.

I think that Canada’s Drag Race more than any other franchise of Drag Race showcases so many different beautiful cultures in the drag that is represented. You are Suki Doll’s drag daughter.
Suki Doll is my mother! Yes.

Does having a family member compete on the show before you make it harder or easier for you to enter the competition?
I think it made it easier for me. I mean, you know, they love to say ‘Nepo Baby Drag Race.’ They love to say, ‘Oh, she got her foot in the door, whatever, whatever, whatever.’ But you know, I’m really grateful that Suki was such a fan-favorite and people love her so much. So a lot of the fans felt really connected to me, which was great.

During this week’s episode we saw Icesis and Pythia give you some advice on how to structure the sleeves of your dress. Later on in the runway, Icesis kind of called you out for not following that advice. What’s the hardest part about balancing different opinions or advice, but wanting to stay true to your own vision in such a high-pressure environment?
You know, I think everyone has amazing opinions and Icesis was really trying to help me a lot, which I’m very grateful for. And Icesis is part of my family, which, I love her. The thing is though, I just didn’t know how to do what she was saying, you know (laughs), and I don’t think that that was a reason why I deserved to be in the bottom. You know, I think my outfit looked pussy cunt, and I don’t think it was the worst.

Last night your lip sync was to a Carly Rae Jepsen song. If you could go back and pick your own lip sync song, what would it be?
I would pick anything by Tate McCrae, that is my Canadian pop girly. That’s what I used to audition on the show, and literally anything by Tate McRae, but I would say “Sports Car.”

You had a very emotional reaction to being eliminated last night on the main stage. What was going through your head at that moment?
Oh! I am the only water sign on season six. I’m such a crier. I’m so emotional, and honestly, why I was so distraught is like, bitch, I ate that lip sync up! I ate this episode up. I ate this season up, this is the season of the star, and I’m going home early? No shade. Like I really wanted to stay longer and showcase my drag and my art. You know, it just wasn’t my time. And as sad as it is, but honestly, I think I was just so heartbroken in the moment. I was hyperventilating, I was dry, heaving, I was so upset.

Where do you hope to see Star Doll this time next year?
Honestly, I just love being on tv! Whatever show it is, you know? Even acting gigs, I would love to be acting on a TV show, and I actually have one that’s coming out soon!
