Carrie Underwood is taking her activewear line to New York Fashion Week. The latest collection of Calia by Carrie will debut on the runway, but, luckily, you won’t have to wait months to get your hands on the pieces.
I’ve been a spectator at Fashion Week a few times, but this is the first time I’ll be involved, Underwood told WWD. She added that she hates waiting months after seeing pieces on the runway, so she is ensuring her new line will be available immediately.
Underwood will also be hosting a hands-on presentation in September in New York City. She will be inviting guests there to make a surprise announcement. The location, The HQ, will serve as a pop-up shop, where guests will be able to shop the line immediately after the presentation. The shop will then be open to the public everyday from 2pm to 4pm throughout the rest of New York Fashion Week.
The singer says he is very hands-on with the line, and is constantly looking for inspiration for new designs. We meet all the time, look at swatches, colours, styles, she said. I raid my closet, look at pictures of my friends, anything for ideas.
The line itself is pretty affordable. Pants range from $60 to $85 USD, while tops range from $30 to $35 USD.
