The 2016 Billboard Music Awards took place last night, making for a spectacle of an evening at the newly opened venue in Las Vegas. While there was your average crop of attendees, including a freshly shaved Justin Bieber, the night was all about the lady feels. Here are some of the best lady-fuelled moments.
7. Nick Jonas and Tove Lo showed serious on stage chemistry while performing Close, giving Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton some competition. Just when the audience thought it was over, out came Demi Lovato’s octave pummeling rendition of Cool for the Summer, all while showing her support for the transgender community in an inclusive bathroom symbol shirt. Demi is no stranger to voicing her disdain for North Carolina’s HB2 law, which restricts transgender people, and she used the Billboard stage to push the envelope even more.
