When we see red, it’s always in shades of Valentino.
After all, a girl’s got to have a signature or two. The storied Italian fashion house certainly does with more than 60 years worth of iconic red gowns to its name. They have also, BTW, recently given their namesake colour a wake-up shake-up courtesy of undertones of vibrant and luminous pink. And we’re not mad about it.
Especially since we can “wear” the new “Valentino red” as a spritz of Voce Viva, the brand’s latest parfum.
This new eau opens with juicy citrus notes of bergamot and Italian mandarin mixed with spicy ginger. Inviting and fresh with lingering appeal, the elixir merges into a floral bouquet, overflowing with heady white blooms of orange blossom, golden gardenia and Indian jasmine—all to imbibe a sense of haute couture glamour. Later, warm vanilla, milky sandalwood and sensual moss notes waft forward, creating a seductive intimacy. Voce Viva’s overall impression is sunny, radiant and powerful equivocal only to Valentino’s new shade of red.
Red, which can be seen in blocks of colour along the sides of the flacon’s gold, studded topper and stamped across the square clear glass in strong capped letters. Red, felt through its timeless beauty, while its inner strength, voice and spirit are shared through spokesmodel, Lady Gaga’s presence and song.
