American fashion designer Tory Burch’s latest eau de parfum is aptly named: Sublime. It’s meaning is tiered, one of excellence that inspires awe and one of substance that vaporizes, elevating us to a spiritual purity. So, you can understand why we’re spritzing with abandon.
“Sublime. It is a word and an emotion that has no ending,” affirms Burch on her namesake website. “It makes you feel like anything is possible.”
On first spritz, the sunny blend of Mandarin essence, urban ivy accord and upcycled peach lifts our spirits, infusing a sense of happiness and hope. A bouquet of sweet upcycled rose, osmanthus flower absolute and magnolia accord blooms soon wafts forward before being absorbed into intimate and earthy notes of tethered leather accord, patchouli and vetiver essence. The overall effect is sensual and intriguing, feminine and delicate—all with an undertone that feels confident and strong.
The fragrance’s multi-tiered glass bottle topped with a round silver cap embellished with the brand’s gold moniker completes this expression. As does the face for the eau, model Kendall Jenner who adds, “[Sublime], it starts with loving yourself and understanding that you’re worth everything beautiful in the world. I like to remind myself of that daily.”
So do we.
