Fragrance Of The Month: Henry Rose Windows Down EDP

Fragrance Of The Month: Henry Rose Windows Down EDP

When Michelle Pfeiffer founded Henry Rose in 2019, she set out to create a perfume line as transparent about its ingredients as it is luxurious and sophisticated. And so, she did. Now, in a world where most perfumes keep their formulas a mystery, Henry Rose is rewriting the rules with scents that are as honest as they are beautiful.

Eau de parfum Windows Down is no exception.

Crisp and exuberant, the fragrance captures that feeling of rolling the windows open on a sun-drenched afternoon, when the air is alive with freshness and freedom. The idea is believed to have stemmed from a drive Pfeiffer took with her teenage daughter—the windows cranked down, the car filled with the rush of joy and possibility. So naturally, the Scarface star wanted to hold onto that moment of pure happiness and bottle the sensation.

Sparkling and bright with a subtle herbal twist, the scent opens with a burst of zesty bergamot, tart grapefruit, sweet neroli flowers and earthy Earl Grey tea. Heady jasmine blooms gently intertwine with delicate orange blossoms, wafting a floral elegance that’s simultaneously uplifting and grounding before dissolving into intimate musk and creamy white wood notes for a smooth, skin-like warmth that lingers long after the initial spritz.

True to Henry Rose’s ethos, the heavy bottle is minimal and modern—rounded glass with a matte black cap. Elegant and unfussy, it mirrors the parfum itself: clean, intentional, inclusive and quietly, refreshingly unforgettable.

Henry Rose Windows Down, $165 for 50 ml, available at Sephora.
