There’s something to be said for Latinos. The men full of masculine swagger and the women feminine confidence are and, rightly so, the come-hither tastemakers of fragrance. Venezuelan-born American designer Carolina Herrera is no exception, crafting elegant sexy eaus since her eponymous scent in 1988.
Her most recent addition, Good Girl Dot Drama EDP endorsed by supermodel Karlie Kloss follows suit with its uncompromising appeal.
The latest iteration in the Good Girl line of perfumes, which first debuted three years ago, Dot Drama encompasses the Good Girl vibe yet with an extra sensual twist. An oriental eau to be sure, this limited edition overflows with almond, coffee, bergamot and lemon enticing the senses with its warm and rich, yet tart overtures. An elegant and heady bouquet of jasmine, tuberose, orris (otherwise known as iris), rose and orange blossom soon come to life afterwards before easing into an addictive blend of rich tonka bean, cacao pod, sandalwood, vanilla, praline, cinnamon, cedar, cashmere wood, patchouli and musk. The overall effect smells good enough to eat, while still being sexy enough to wear.
It is, of course, captured in the line’s formidable stiletto shoe, although this time instead of being in solid black, the exquisite bottle turns heads with its fashionably dramatic white polka dotted pattern accented against a shining black surface. The six-inch heel is naturally in eye-catching gold.
Carolina Herrera Good Girl Dot Drama, $125 for 50 ml, $154 for 80 ml, available at Sephora stores.
