We’re always looking for ways to improve our beauty routine. Hair tools that will cut down styling time or cleansers that will wash makeup off faster and better. Luckily, there are new innovative products coming out every day that try and solve those exact problems.
Whether your shopping for holiday gifts or looking for yourself, here are some of my favourite hair and skin tools that I recommend:
T3 Featherweight 2 ($220)
The Featherweight 2 came about one day when T3 founder Kent Yu taped together two of the original Featherweight hair dryers. He wanted to create something that would dry hair faster. It did the trick, and the taped together dryers worked quickly while maintaining the same air velocity (too much of it can cause hair to fly around resulting in frizz). The average drying time with a T3 Featherweight 2 is only 7 minutes! I am also a very big fan of T3’s Singlepass Whirl (I use it almost every day), a Tourmaline-infused barrel, for natural looking waves ($130).
The Clarisonic Mia ($119)
Unless you’ve been hiding under a rock, you’ve heard of the Clarisonic, a new skin cleansing tool that is taking over the beauty market. It’s rotating bristles removes six times more makeup than manual cleansing, flushing out your pores, leaving them tighter and skin smoother. I’ve been using it for two weeks now and I can see that my pores look much smaller and my skin feels really great.
Rowenta Beauty Double Straight ($180)
Straight hair in one step! When I want that pin-straight hair look, I use Rowenta Beauty’s Double Straight. It heats up fast and combs hair smooth, while keeping it taut, as you pass it through your locks. This gives you an even shinier look. The plates are ceramic, 1 inch thick and heat to 450F.
TANDA Zap ($49)
When I heard there was a tool that could get rid of a pimple in 24 hours, I needed to try it. The TANDA Zap zaps zits using three technologies: light, heat and vibration. The blue light destroys the acne-causing bacteria, the heat opens up your pores and the vibration increases circulation to reduce swelling, inflammation and redness. It works!
