5 Hair Serums Worth the Splurge

If your hair is damaged from too much heat styling, a hair serum is a great way to bring back the shine, and repair split ends and frizz. Healthy hair is one thing that is worth splurging on, so go ahead and splurge.

Mythic Oil Nourishing Oil $24

This treatment helps to reduce blow-drying time, seal split ends, protect from frizz and detangle amongst other things. It can be used before shampoo, mixed in with shampoo, as a leave in treatment post cleansing of the hair and does a great job of keeping the hair smooth before and after blow drying. Packed with shine and vitamin boosting avocado and grape seed oil, the antioxidant rich treatment is also surprisingly lightweight.

Moroccanoil $43

Possibly the mot well known on the list, Moroccanoil is like hair serum royalty. Used in salons and my consumers on a daily basis, this argan based hair oil is incredibly smoothing and has frizz fighting action like nobody's business. Its smell is instantly recognizeable and it also comes in a light version, for girls and guys who have thin or fine hair or simply don't have a lot of frizz to deal with (lucky you!).

Matrix Biolage $25.95

Three separate yet equally important formulas make this next splurge a worthy option when it comes to treating your hair to some TLC. If you happen to need replenishment aim for the first version of this hair oil to come out, which is the Moringa Oil blend. If you're aiming for softer locks that are more manageable try the powerhouse Monoi oil blend. If you want to add some strength to your mane and make it more resilient to the daily stresses of wind, sunshine and blow drying, then the Tamanu Oil blend is your best bet.

Caudalie Divine Oil $52

The only dry oil hair treatment to make it to the list, Caudalie didn’t name this oil diving for nothing. The subtle yet lovely floral scent is intoxicating without being overwhelming. Free of parabens, sulfates and phthalates, this treatment contains sesame oil (amongst others) to fight frizz all day long, so no need for touch ups.
