If you live in the Toronto area, you’ll probably want to hide your credit card until February. Saks Fifth Avenue is opening two Canadian locations of the luxury store in the Toronto area in the new year. The first Canadian location will open in the Eaton Centre and will offer shoppers more than just a regular retail experience.
Saks Fifth Avenue’s entrance into Canada is a very exciting moment for our company, said Marc Metrick, President of Saks Fifth Avenue.
The Eaton Centre location will act as the Canadian flagship location. The 163,000 square foot space will include a shoe boutique, John Barrett salon, a Saks Food Hall by Pusateri’s, and an Oliver & Bonacini restaurant, as well as their regular luxury retail space. The store will be located on Queen Street. The slightly smaller Sherway Gardens location, will also offer customers the same services as the Eaton Centre store.
Saks Fifth Avenue has been offering their luxury retail experience to the public since they first opened their doors in 1926 in New York City. The expansion into Canada will give Canadian shoppers more selection when it comes to luxury brands.
Saks Fifth Avenue aims to make a big impression on Canadian shoppers, which includes bringing their renowned personal shopping and styling service, The Fifth Avenue Club to their Canadian stores.
The Eaton Centre location will open on February 18, 2016. The Sherway Gardens location will open the following week on February 25, 2016, which gives us plenty of time to save up!
