There are currently no open staff positions at 29Secrets, but we’re always interested in discovering fresh voices, great ideas, and new freelance writers who have a keen interest in beauty, style, pop culture, wellness and relationships.
We work with freelance writers and contributors across our editorial sections and welcome thoughtful, original pitches that feel like a natural fit for 29Secrets. Whether you have a timely story idea, a fresh perspective on a topic we cover or an unexpected take on something everyone is talking about, we want to hear it.
Pitching 29Secrets:
Writers can pitch article ideas directly to the editor via email to christopher.turner[at]ideonmedia.com. Before reaching out, we recommend spending some time with 29Secrets to get a sense of what we cover, our editorial voice and the types of stories we publish.
All pitches should include:
- A clear, proposed headline
- A concise summary of the story and your approach
- An estimated word count
- A brief bio introducing yourself and your areas of expertise or interest
- Links to relevant previously published writing samples
We’re especially interested in original ideas, distinctive perspectives and stories that bring something new to the conversation. A strong pitch should make it clear why the story belongs on 29Secrets — and why you’re the right person to write it.
While we appreciate every submission, due to the volume of pitches we receive, our editors may only be able to respond to ideas they’re interested in pursuing.
