Frisky Foods for a Night of Fun

Looking to add a little spice to your sex life? Well you may not want to look in the seasonings aisle, but you just might be able to find something that can help you out in the other areas of the grocery store. Check out these six amazingly everyday food items that can help take your bedroom sizzle from bland to blazing!

Figs
Okay, maybe this one isn’t exactly on your “everyday” menu, but they should be! Figs have a long history of being a fertility booster and are high in amino acids, which are essential for increased sex drive and boosting stamina.

Avocados
Not only are they considered a form of phalliac symbols because they roughly resemble part of the, uh, male genitalia, but avocados are also extremely heart healthy, being both rich in unsaturated fats and low in saturated fats. What does this mean? It means they are good at making sure the blood is pumping to all the right areas, right when it needs to be.

Red wine
We know it’s tempting to look at this one and be all like “well duh, get me a few glasses deep and I’ll get frisky every time” but in reality, it is actually the combination of the antioxidants AND the alcohol in red wine that produce nitric oxide, which can help increase the blood flow to the genitals. Just keep it to a healthy one or two glasses ladies. Otherwise things will just get messy.

Seafood
Yes, we know, we’ve all heard all about oysters (and their high levels of zinc) and how they can apparently cause you to go from zero to naked in 40 seconds flat, but what you might not know is that they aren’t the only fish with a little sexual prowess.,Oily fish, like salmon or herring, contain omega-3 fatty acids which are ideal for heart health and stamina building.

Almonds
We could make a really bad joke about “nuts” here, but we’re going to refrain and just explain why the almond is the sexiest nut around. Nutrient-dense and mineral-rich, almonds contains zinc, selenium, and vitamin E, all of which are important for both sexual health and reproduction. Oh, and they also act as a sexual stimulant! That’s one powerful little nut!

Spinach
Exceptionally rich in magnesium, which helps to dilate blood vessels and provide better blood flow to the genitals, as well as folate, Spinach is great for both sexual arousal and reproductive health. Guess this explains why Popeye and Olive Oil had such a good relationship!
