We have all heard of the expensive detox plans that can cost upwards of $500, which the average joe just can't afford! There is absolutely no need to spend a good chunk of your pay check on a detox when you can easily make it at home! If you are wanting to do a body detox and don't want to commit to a full 3 or 5 days, how about just supplementing your breakfast or dinner with a drink! A detox doesn't need to be as severe as a lot of people make them out to be. Below are some tasty detox drinks you can easily (and affordably!) make from your own home!
Beet and Carrot
Great for fast flushing, beet helps regenerate red blood cells, but for best results you need to combine it with carrots due to their high content of beta-carotene and with cucumber juice, aiding weight loss and digestion while also relieving bad breath.

The Master Cleanse Lemonade
2 tbsp freshly squeezed lemon juice (Use organic lemons, fresh, not bottled juice. Limes may be substituted)
2 tbsp of maple syrup (This must be pure maple syrup, not pancake syrup, Grade B, which has more color and nutrients than Grade A!)

8 ounces of water
You should drink 6-8 glasses each day – in replace of your plain water intake!

Dr Oz's Morning Detox
This drink is the detox cleanse drink recipes Dr.Oz always rants and raves about. As soon as you get up in the morning, Dr. Oz advises that you drink Green Tea with lemon slices. The green tea will help to eliminate toxins, but it will also prevent a withdrawal headache if you are a coffee drinker. The lemons are a wonderful antioxidant and the two together taste amazing!
What you will need:
Green Tea Bag
1 Lemon, Sliced
1 Teaspoon Stevia
All of these simple shakes can be turned into a week long detox, or simply just to start your monrning off a bit healthier! If you are going to use these shakes as a replacement meal, make sure the rest of your day is filled with healthy foods as well! Happy detox-ing!
